Two Months

-Grabs toys and reaches for us

Benjamin is 2 months old! I can't believe he is getting so old...and big. Our little chunky monkey is now 12 lbs. 12 oz. and is 22.5" long, which means he gained 2 1/2 lbs. in a month. It seems like every time I take another picture of him, he has another chin. :) Breastfeeding is obviously going good and I'm so glad I stuck with it. I just wanted to quit so many times but I just kept thinking I couldn't give up after everything I'd been through. He's getting up every night to eat every 2-3 hours right now but I'm hoping he'll start sleeping a little longer soon so mama can get some sleep!

Benjamin has a ton of head control now and is very alert. He likes to bat at toys and reaches for my face, which is so adorable. He starting smiling at us (the real smile, not the gassy smile) a few weeks ago and it makes our heart melt. I captured a great smile on camera the other day too.

We hosted a 'welcome Benjamin' party on Saturday and it was a hit! We had no idea so many people would come and it was really fun to show off our little guy. I put together a slideshow of his life thus far so enjoy!

  1. That was awesome! Love the pic with the Elvis lip. Too cute. So glad you all are doing so well.

  2. Jenell, I am so happy for you! :) He is adorable! I also wanted to let you know that our baby boy made it, too! He was born healthy and wonderful on January 12th at 38w4d. His name is Evan. :) When I found your blog on 11/4/08, I was in the depths of despair after a 13w m/c in 11/07 and losing our daughter Mallory at 23w on 7/29/08. It is so amazing...here we are less than 14 months later, both with healthy babies in our arms - baby boys at that! :) Thank you so much for sharing your journey. I'm so glad that we both have our miracle rainbow babies. May God continue to richly bless your family!
